Quick Summary

We are seeking a Learning & Development Coordinator to join our team, where you will play a vital role in creating meaningful growth experiences for staff across all levels.

Job Description

Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

About This Role

At Compass Health Center, we believe continuous learning is key to delivering exceptional care. As our Learning & Development Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in creating meaningful growth experiences for staff across all levels—from onboarding new hires to supporting clinical and leadership development programs. You’ll manage our LMS, coordinate with facilitators and subject matter experts, organize engaging training events, and collaborate with vendors to ensure smooth execution.

This primarily remote position is based in Illinois, with the expectation of facilitating learning experiences at Compass Illinois sites several times per year. Additionally, this role includes national travel to regional Compass locations during new site launches, which occur 1-2 times per year.

Our Learning & Development team works behind the scenes to bring our shared mission to life—empowering our clinicians to focus on what they do best: delivering life-changing care. In this role, you’ll collaborate with departments across the organization and help shape a culture of learning that supports every employee’s success.

What You’ll Do

• LMS Administration: Own the day-to-day administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), including enrolling users, assigning and updating courses, maintaining data accuracy, tracking learner progress, providing technical support, analyzing usage reports, and ensuring content is current and relevant.

• New Hire Training Support: Coordinate and support New Employee Training (NET) by managing training schedules, organizing curriculum and materials, guiding new hires through orientation, and facilitating select sessions to ensure a smooth and consistent onboarding experience.

• Training Coordination & Facilitation: Schedule and coordinate instructor-led (ILT), virtual (VILT), and e-learning sessions across departments. Support the delivery of leadership development programs by organizing logistics, preparing materials, and assisting facilitators. Maintain a master training calendar and occasionally lead sessions to ensure training is delivered effectively and consistently.

• Content Development Support: Assist in the design and development of blended learning content. Collaborate with subject matter experts, conduct research on instructional best practices, and provide feedback on training materials to ensure relevance, clarity, and impact.

• Communication & Engagement: Maintain the L&D intranet site, promote training initiatives, respond to employee questions, and create engaging messaging to drive program participation.

• Culture of Learning: Champion a culture of continuous learning by encouraging participation, recognizing achievements, and partnering with HR and leadership to assess and meet organizational development needs.

• Growth & Expansion Support: Assist with the learning and development components of opening new facilities and onboarding staff during organizational expansion.

• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support department and organizational goals.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in learning and development, human resources, psychology, or a related field preferred

• 1–3 years of relevant work experience

• Proficiency with a variety of technologies; ideally experienced in Microsoft 365 applications

• Must be a self-starter who is innovative, flexible, and creative—our environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative

• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

• Detail-oriented and proficient in all aspects of project management; ability to manage multiple projects and pivot priorities when needed

• Preferred but not required: Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS); previous work with Docebo is a plus

• Positive attitude and passion for working in the mental health space

We know job descriptions can be intimidating, so if this sounds like an opportunity for you, please don't hesitate to apply!
