Location: This role is based in Thabazimbi, Amandelbult
The Learning Advisor – People Development is responsible for the provision of People Development services at the operations that include talent management and the management of young professionals, leadership development, career development and education, as well as a supporting role for Valterra Platinum initiatives regarding Performance Management and assessments.
Roles and responsibilities include the following:
• Strategy and related processes for Personal Development training
• Execution of coordination for Adult Education Training
• Execution of coordination for A1-D1 Development training
• Execution of coordination for bursars / graduates / vocational students / internships / scholarships at operational level
• Execution of coordination for Supervisory, Management, Leadership and Behavioural Training
• Collation, consultation and submission of Workplace Skills Plan / Annual Training Report
• Learning Processes, Systems and reporting (related to Personal Development Services only)
• Learning Projects (related to Personal Development Services and Valterra Platinum)
This role is at Band 6 level, reporting to the Section Manager of Learning Delivery
• NQF 7 Bachelor’s Degree in HR/HRD
Experience:
• At least five years HRD/HR experience, of which 3 years in a supervisory position
• Experience in Project Management will be advantageous
Knowledge and Skills
• Coordinates processes to implement the Organisation’s Learning strategy and plan at operational level. Understands and operationalises all SA Skills Development legislation and regulation, ensuring implementation of intent of legislation not only compliance
• Assists line managers to identify relevant competencies, using the Organisational framework
• Sets up processes and systems to capture accurate and relevant training needs, diagnosing performance barriers and integrating to build a big picture of operational level training needs
• Delivery and Evaluation of development activities
