Lead Youth Mentor:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of neurodiverse youth? Maple Lake Academy is looking for energetic, compassionate individuals to step into a Lead Mentor role supporting teenage boys with Autism in a structured, supportive, and growth-focused school and community environment. In this role, you'll:

The Lead Mentor
The Lead Mentor assists and supports the Shift Manager on shift in diverse tasks and responsibilities ensuring the continual improvement of the residential program. The Lead Mentor leads by example, is approachable and can foster trust from and in other staff members. The Lead Mentor drives and respects accountability, is someone who communicates regularly, debriefs situations with their people and checks in with them to provide support and training. The Lead Mentor focuses on self-development and learning and on the developments of their people. The Lead Mentor is organized, supportive of the Shift Manager and is willing to make decisions independently and as a team. This position reports to the Shift Manager.

Schedule
Shifts available:
TTS PM 2:45pm - 11:00pm/every other Sunday OR MWF 2:45pm-11:00pm/every other Sunday
Part-Time position.
Opportunity for advancement to Full-Time work.
Qualifications and Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
6+ months as a Mentor at Maple Lake Academy or similar program preferred
21 years or older (to be able to drive company vehicles), or turning 21 within the next few months
Acceptable Driving Record
Ability to pass a criminal background check upon accepting an offer
An ATTACHMENT Approach
Everything we do is through the lens of attachment theory. As a member of the MLA team, you'll get great training in attachment styles, and how to best help teens in our program to build healthy relationships with themselves, their peers, and caregivers. Additionally, we focus on helping students identify the core issues behind their behaviors and thoughts, and then how to address those core needs. We seek to create a safe environment for students and employees to learn, grow, develop, explore, make mistakes, and build lasting impactful relationships with those around them.
