Required Skills
Job Description
With over 25 years’ experience, plus the same enormous passion and ambition we had on day-one, we’re trailblazers in the pet e-commerce industry. Our solutions make over 12 million customers genuinely happier – and that’s something we really care about. We work together to continually adapt; embracing change and the challenges it brings so that we can keep doing better. Join us and discover a place where your potential meets your passion for pets. That’s the power of plus.
From advising transformations to owning one.
You’ve helped CEOs make the big calls. You’ve built decks, governance models and execution plans that should work. Now you want to own the outcome.
At zooplus, we’re building a company‑wide Transformation Control Tower, the engine room that keeps our most critical priorities aligned, coordinated and delivering real value. We’re looking for a Lead (Individual Contributor) to run it.
This is a role for someone ready to step out of the advisory lane and sit at the heart of execution: shaping decisions, orchestrating trade‑offs and ensuring follow‑through with direct exposure to the CEO and ExCo.
And importantly: your mandate is to internalise transformation capability that has historically been supported by external partners, and make it stick inside the organisation.
Your mandate
Turn a complex portfolio of initiatives into one coherent transformation story — with clarity on priorities, ownership, risks and value.
You are not here to “run a PMO”. You are here to raise decision quality, execution speed and accountability across the enterprise.

What you’ll actually do
Run the Transformation Control Tower
You own the central hub across all major transformation initiatives, acting as the connective tissue across ExCo areas.
• Build and operate a living portfolio view that leadership actually uses to steer the business.
• Proactively surface risks, dependencies and resource constraints before they turn into delivery issues.
• Drive common standards: initiative charters, milestone logic, value hypotheses, dependencies and decision asks.
• Create a single, trusted source of truth on progress, risks and value realisation.
Orchestrate governance & decisions (not “status theatre”)
You make governance a decision engine.
• Run the Ops Committee cadence end‑to‑end: agenda, pre‑reads, decision framing, action tracking and follow‑through.
• Design and operate SteerCos that enable real trade‑offs and accountability.
• Prepare integrated, decision‑oriented views for CEO and ExCo: what’s on track, what’s at risk, and where leadership intervention is required.
Drive portfolio performance & value
You help the organisation focus on what matters most.
• Implement and run a robust OKR / KPI framework that drives behaviour — not just reporting.
• Support enterprise‑level prioritisation and resource allocation across initiatives.
• Strengthen value realisation discipline with initiative owners and Finance: clarify the “why”, track outcomes and flag gaps early.
Transformation themes you’ll orchestrate
You’ll operate across the full enterprise portfolio, with an initial focus on:
• Marketing
• Price & Promotion
• Ecosystem build‑up & expansion
• Value proposition

This role is a strong fit if you bring:
• ~8–12+ years in strategy execution, transformation, consulting, PMO or comparable roles.
• A track record of driving complex, cross‑functional initiatives in fast‑paced environments.
• Strong portfolio/programme management discipline with a value‑creation mindset.
• Commercial sharpness, comfortable engaging on strategy, operations and financial implications.
• Executive‑level communication: concise, clear and decision‑oriented.
• High EQ and stakeholder leadership, able to challenge constructively and build trust.
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to switch between strategic framing and hands‑on execution.
• A mindset aligned with our values: Simplicity, Courage, Openness and Care.
• Fluency in English is required.
Why this is a compelling next step
• Sit at the centre of zooplus’ most strategic priorities with direct CEO & ExCo exposure.
• Move from advising transformations to owning outcomes.
• Build an internal transformation capability that scales and endures.
• High autonomy, high trust, high visibility, a true multiplier role.
