Lead Surfacing Artist

The Lead Surfacing Artist collaborates with the show side supervision team to help maintain and schedule tasks and assignments while ensuring the artists stay on track and delivers photo-real textures for hard surface and organic models, environments, and hero creature work.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create photorealistic textures, both hand-painted and from set photography to a level of detail necessary for hero CG assets
• Work independently on defined tasks, but in collaboration with artists and supervisors in modeling, shading, and lighting during the look development process
• Lead and mentor a team of artists; offer constructive and support feedback

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum four (4) years of experience in visual effects for live-action feature films or television
• Previous leadership experience
• Hands-on experience using Mari essential, Photoshop, ZBrush, Mudbox a plus
• Working knowledge of Maya necessary, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Nuke a plus
• Clear understanding of color space, shading, lighting, and rendering methodologies
• Familiarity with digital photography

리드 서페이싱 아티스트는 쇼 사이드 슈퍼비전 팀과 협력하여 작업과 과제의 유지 및 일정을 관리하고, 아티스트들이 일정에 맞춰 하드 서피스 및 오가닉 모델, 환경, 주요 크리처 작업에 사진처럼 실감 나는 텍스처를 제작할 수 있도록 합니다.

담당업무:
• 히어로 CG 에셋에 필요한 수준의 디테일로, 손으로 직접 그리거나 현장 사진을 활용하여 사진처럼 실감 나는 텍스처를 제작합니다.
• 정해진 작업을 독립적으로 수행하지만, 룩디벨롭 과정에서 모델링, 셰이딩, 라이팅 아티스트 및 슈퍼바이저와 협업합니다.
• 아티스트 팀을 이끌고 멘토링하며, 건설적이고 지원적인 피드백을 제공합니다.

자격요건:
• 학사 학위 또는 이에 상응하는 경력
• 실사 장편 영화 또는 TV 시각 효과 분야에서 최소 4년 이상의 경력
• 리더십 경험 보유
• Mari 실무 경험 필수, Photoshop, ZBrush, Mudbox 경험 우대
• Maya 실무 지식 필수, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Nuke 경험 우대
• 컬러 스페이스, 셰이딩, 라이팅, 렌더링 방식에 대한 명확한 이해
• 디지털 사진에 대한 이해
