Lead Support Engineer

You will be a be part of the Development Application Support team providing the tier 3 support (3rd level support) and use your expertise to recommend technical solutions for Refinitiv products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate software functionalities problems raised by customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with development teams, products management in US and UK to resolve product technical problems.
• Work with customer support teams, content operation teams in multiple countries to find a solution for customer issues.
• Provide guidance to customers when they have questions related to our product functionality and API Usage
• Provide immediate technical assistance to global service operation teams for major service outage and aim to rectify and recover the service.
• Provide expertise recommendation to service improvement, software verification and release.
• Collaborate with development, service and operation teams in multiple regions to ensure maximum service availability
• Understand LSEG technology/knowledge including architecture, cloud's micro-services and workflows of our products
• Able to take on-call work outside normal working hours including public holidays and weekend
• An ability to work in a fast-paced, high demand work environment

Qualifications:

• Experience in Cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) or programming / scripting (Python, Java, SQL) (not require all).
• Experience in Open source tools (Kafka, Elasticsearch, Kibana) is nice to have.
• Experienced with AWS Cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, etc.
• Familiarity with AWS CloudWatch for investigating issues, monitoring dashboards, and alarm
• Have a good understanding of REST API and OpenAPI Specification
• Strong experience in software development or support.
• Good English communication.
• Flexible to work with colleagues in different countries and time zones.
• Eager to learn new technologies.
