About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
About Salesforce
We're Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of the Agentic Enterprise. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way.
About the Role
We're looking for a highly skilled, technically driven professional to join our Enterprise team, partnering with Australia's largest organisations across sectors like Communications, Manufacturing, Retail and Health.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role that goes beyond traditional pre-sales. You will partner with Account Executives to drive success across the entire customer lifecycle, while simultaneously embedding yourself with client teams to design, develop, and support the implementation of AI solutions leveraging our Agentforce platform. If you believe the best demo is a working prototype, and you have the technical mastery to roll up your sleeves, write code, remove blockers, and build something real for a customer, we'd love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
• Partner with Sales. Partner with Account Executives to advance and close Commercial opportunities. This is a pre-sales role with engineering depth.
• Run great technical discovery. Before you build anything, you ask the right questions. You uncover the real technical blockers, the architecture constraints, and the business outcomes that matter.
• Prototyping & Hands-on Implementation: Build prototypes and Proof of Concepts using Salesforce platform technologies (Agentforce, Flow, LWC, Apex). You will leverage AI-assisted development tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate prototyping and move fast.
• Data Configuration & Architecture: Coach customers to connect data end-to-end by designing robust data models, building efficient processing pipelines, and integrating enterprise data ecosystems (e.g. Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).
• Proactively Remove Technical Blockers: Perform detailed root-cause analysis and deep-dive debugging of complex system interactions, data flows, and AI model behaviors to optimize performance and ensure reliability.
• Champion AI & Agentic Capabilities: Help customers understand, envision, and activate autonomous AI agents across their business processes, applying advanced AI orchestration frameworks and prompt engineering techniques.
• Become a Trusted Strategic Partner: Embed yourself deeply with client teams and executive stakeholders to grasp their operational challenges, translating nuanced needs into actionable technical architecture.
• Scale Impact: Mentor and coach junior SE team members, and create reusable assets, demo innovations, and reference architectures for the broader Solutions community.
A Typical Day in the Life
• Align with your AE partners on account priorities, pipeline health, and upcoming customer moments.
• Run a technical discovery session with an Enterprise customer, mapping their architecture and business challenges to Salesforce and AI solutions.
• Code alongside client teams to quickly develop proofs-of-concept and minimum viable products, gathering feedback for iterative refinement.
• Carry pilot context into post-sale engagement so the customer’s experience is seamless and deeply focused upon their unique needs
• Collaborate with the broader team on a new reference architecture or coach a junior SE on technical depth and demo techniques.
Who You Are & Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience: in customer-facing technical selling roles (Solution Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Technical Architect) or project delivery roles (Product Owner, System Admin, Program Architect)— ideally in an Enterprise software environment.
• Sales instinct and commercial curiosity. You understand how pre-sales fits into a deal cycle. You are energised by closing a deal, not just completing a project.
• Value Translation: You can connect a working prototype to a business case. You speak ROI as fluently as you speak API.
• Builder Credibility & Strong Programming Skills: You have a career that includes meaningful time as a software engineer or solutions engineer, and you have shipped code that other people depended on. You possess strong programming skills and have experience building production applications. You build with the products you represent and can ship a working demo over a weekend.
• Production LLM & AI Expertise: You have production experience with LLMs, including advanced prompt engineering, agent and retrieval frameworks.
• Pilot & Evaluation Experience: You have supported technical evaluations or pilots in an enterprise setting, handling the security, administration, and scale conversations without needing to escalate everything to the product team.
• Exceptional ability to build Relationships: You are able to connect and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders to include C-suite executives, engineering & IT teams, and more. You maintain a low-ego, highly cooperative, and collaborative approach.
• Intellectual Openness & Project Management Instincts: You have the ability to navigate ambiguity, finding simple solutions to complex problems. You also have the project management instincts to run multi-week activation plans or pilots against defined success metrics without dropping the ball.
• Willingness to Travel: You are willing to travel regularly for on-site enablement, pilots, hackathons, and customer events.
Our Recruitment Process
We want to ensure a mutual fit. We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Any potential employee will be assessed on the basis of merit, competence, and qualifications. Here is what you can expect when you apply for this role:
• Recruiter Screening: An initial conversation to discuss your background. Please note that Salesforce uses artificial intelligence (AI) tools to help our recruiters assess resumes, but human recruiters and hiring managers will always make the final candidate selection and hiring decisions.
• 1:1 Conversation with Hiring Manager: A deeper dive into your experience, career goals, and alignment with our team's vision.
• Coding Test: A practical assessment of your technical skills. We believe AI has a transformative impact, and we seek exceptional candidates who can collaborate thoughtfully with AI tooling to solve complex problems.
• Technical Interview: A rigorous discussion where you'll showcase your ability to architect, discuss advanced LLM implementations, and demonstrate your "builder credibility."
• Business Panel: A final round with cross-functional stakeholders to assess your ability to engage effectively with both technical audiences and business executives.
Unleash Your Potential
When you join Salesforce, you’ll be limitless in all areas of your life. Our benefits and resources support you to find balance and be your best, and our AI agents accelerate your impact so you can do your best.
