Get to know the role

We are looking for a Lead Backend Engineer to join our Security Engineering Team. You will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager, Devsecops. We believe a successful candidate has cloud engineering, system design and architecture, infrastructure automation, integration, and development skills, but if you believe you have what it takes then we'd love to hear from you either way. This role is required because we are expanding our regional infrastructure security capabilities. In return, you will work with a great team working on complex architectures and managing cloud security of one of the largest cloud deployments in the region.

This role is onsite based in our Petaling Jaya, Malaysia office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will design, implement, and maintain secure and reliable code and infrastructure for Grab Services
• You will lead complex projects independently, including technical designs, coding practices, and non-functional requirements
• You will improve and operate security tools such as EDR, CNAPP, and vulnerability scanners
• You will develop security automation solutions and integrate security into SDLC and CI/CD pipelines
• You will monitor and improve Security Engineering KPIs while meeting internal and external SLAs
• You will participate in on-call rotation for infrastructure support and incident management

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You have at least 5 years in designing, building and securing production systems/ applications on any public cloud services (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• You have programming skills in one of the languages (preferably GoLang or Python)
• You have good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
