One of the first tasks for this role is to redevelop our existing .NET/on‑prem service into a modern, cloud‑based stack by redeveloping the Upgrade Advisor front‑end & services, and in‑product APIs that empower customer self‑service. This goes in tandem with efficient learning about team-owned web apps & services, ensuring no knowledge silos.
Success in this role requires a proven track record to deliver scalable, efficient, and resilient software solutions.

• 7+ years of professional experience in software development
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript and Node.js
• Practical experience with front-end frameworks e.g. Angular, React
• Expertise developing REST API
• Experience with .NET/C#/WebAPI (legacy stack)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards
• Exposure to serverless architecture and event-driven systems
• Experience with cloud platforms
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Software Development
• Design, develop, and maintain web & desktop solutions ensuring scalability, security, and high performance
• Write clean, efficient, well-tested and well-documented code
• Conduct code reviews and establish standard processes for software development
System Design and Architecture
• Architect, deploy, and run web & cloud-based applications
• Optimise cloud infrastructure for cost-efficiency and performance
• Lead architectural decisions for front-end and back-end systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements
• Collaborate with Product, Design, DevOps to build end-to-end solutions
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues
• Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions
Project Management
• Participate in sprint planning, task estimation, and roadmap development
• Ensure timely delivery of projects, meeting both technical and business objectives
