Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Scheduling Project Engineer for Flight Simulation Labs, located in Berkeley, MO.
The Flight Simulation Labs organization provides support across marketing, design, development, integration, test, and training activities for Boeing Air Dominance programs. In the Scheduling Project Engineer role, you will apply that domain expertise to develop and maintain integrated fabrication plans and schedules for programs such as T7, F15, F18, and MQ25, ensuring statement of work, program milestones, resource allocations, risk, and interdependencies are clearly defined and tracked at the Flight Simulation Labs organization level.
As a project engineer, you will work closely with stakeholders and cross functional teams representing multiple skill areas to ensure all plans are accounted for and have allocated resources. You will support development of fabrication statements of work (SOW) for ongoing and new business requirements. You will monitor budget and schedule, as well as identifying and coordinating resources required over the life of the SOW. You will compare actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned. In a dynamic program environment, you will evaluate program performance using established metrics and trend/variance analyses to report to senior leadership.
Position Responsibilities:
• Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated master schedule (IMS) for all Flight Simulation Labs Fabrication to meet program and/or project requirements
• Ensures consistency in the IMS with other scheduling and work forecasting tools
• Maintain regular and direct communication with stakeholders including project leads and Flight Simulation Labs leadership
• Perform studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact, metrics), and risk assessments to determine impacts, constraints, and project performance
• Create schedules, reports, and metrics for Flight Simulation Labs work
• Manages cross team coordination and resources in dedicated fabrication spaces for the organization
• Works to drive improvements in project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers
• Participates in proposal development by identifying activities, resources and events required to complete the Fabrication work statement
• Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of plans
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Berkeley, MO.
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim/Final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
• 5+ years of experience in project management or project scheduling
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Previous Fabrication, Flight Simulation, or Lab Experience
• 5+ years of experience leading a team or a project
• 3+ years of experience in building relationships with internal and/or external customers
• 3+ years managing capital projects
• Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skill
• Experience as a CAM (Cost Account Manager) in EVM (Earned Value Management)
• Experience using tools such as Open Plan Professional, Microsoft Project, or Milestone Professional
• Experience in Agile Methodologies and tools
• Experience with U.S. Navy and Air Force customers

Summary pay range: $136,850 - $185,150
