Lead React Native Developer (Contract)

We are looking for a developer proficient in React Native to lead a mobile app development project. You will be working with a team of talented developers, designers and product/project managers. You will have the opportunity to leverage AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Builder.io while you work in a highly collaborative Agile team. You will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle while solving challenging technical problems for our clients.

Information Security Responsibilities:
• Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
• Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
• Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
• Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information

Role and Responsibilities::
• Create effectively tested, re-usable, and efficient TypeScript/React Native code

• Develop mission critical user experiences

• Work collaboratively with a team in an Agile environment

• Be a critical team member from the ideation, alignment and discover phases of the project all the way to release and support of the mobile application.

• Development will be completed leveraging Cursor

• Support continuous improvement by staying up-to-date on front-end technology

• Mentor junior developers

Preferred Qualifications::
• The ideal candidate will have a 2- or 4-year degree in CS/Engineering, be a bootcamp grad, or be self-taught with practical experience

• 5+ years of professional programming experience

• Hands-on React Native development experience

• Team lead experience

• Experience writing unit tests with React Testing Library or equivalent tools

• Experience developing to inclusive design best practices, up to and beyond meeting WCAG standards

• Familiarity with Git

• Experience working in an agile environment (Scrum preferred) as part of a cross-functional team

• Strong communication skills

• Experience with AI development
