**Lead QA / Automation Tester**

**Project Details**
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Engineering based in Kuala Lumpur.
- Take ownership of designing and implementing the entire QA automation architecture and process flow from scratch.
- Your decisions will directly influence how the QA team ships, scales, and innovates.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Implement QA automation practices, including tools, frameworks, architecture, automation, integrations, and processes.
- Analyse business objectives, prepare actionable plans, and identify areas for improvement.
- Coach and mentor junior QA team members, providing guidance on test design, automation scripting, and troubleshooting.
- Drive innovation in testing processes by introducing new tools or methods to improve test effectiveness and reduce cycle time.

**Must-Have Qualifications**
- Proven experience in a lead QA automation role.
- Hands-on expertise with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
- Experience testing APIs, micro-services, and front-end applications.
- Exposure to cloud testing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience in setting up a QA automation framework from the ground up.

**Nice to Have / Bonus**
- Experience developing automated scripts for fintech products.
- Prior experience as a software engineer.

**Team & Culture**
- Head of Engineering has over 10 years of fintech experience.
- Opportunity to work with minimal supervision, contribute ideas and expertise, and take ownership of initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with existing manual testers in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, with potential to build and lead a team in the future.

**Location**
- Kuala Lumpur (hybrid working arrangement).

**Level / Grade**
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in QA, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
