THE ROLE
As an Engineering Lead in Tech Platform, you will be responsible for leading the team that builds the foundation of our entire technology ecosystem. Your mission is to foster an environment where a high-performing team can provide a seamless, scalable, and reliable platform that empowers engineering teams to deliver software faster and with higher quality.
In this role, you will lead a team of engineers dedicated to evolving our cloud-native infrastructure. You will balance people leadership and strategic growth with technical oversight, driving the adoption of Self-Service capabilities and Infrastructure as Code to reduce cognitive load for our developers while maintaining a high bar for security and resilience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Lead and manage a team of Individual Contributors, focusing on their career growth, setting clear expectations, and fostering a culture of psychological safety and continuous learning.
• Develop and implement strategic roadmaps that align your team’s objectives with global company goals, ensuring the team delivers consistent value.
• Drive the creation of self-service capabilities, ensuring that the infrastructure layers we build empower engineering teams across the company to be autonomous.
• Oversee the reliability, performance, and scalability of large-scale distributed systems, ensuring the platform is robust enough for high-traffic events.
• Act as a key partner for Principals and other engineering leads, translating business needs into technical strategies and vice versa to accelerate global productivity.
• Identify opportunities to optimize cost efficiency and reliability through automated processes and modern infrastructure patterns.

WHO YOU ARE:
• You have a track record of managing and growing engineering teams, with a focus on mentorship and team dynamics.
• You possess a strong technical background in cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and modern CI/CD patterns (ArgoCD, Jenkins), allowing you to guide complex technical decisions.
• You understand the software development lifecycle deeply and have experience with development languages (e.g., Python or Golang) to effectively support tool-building for other developers.
• You have good roadmap management skills and a focus on continuous system improvement.
• You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• You prioritize security and compliance as core pillars of a reliable platform.
