Lead Installer – Structural & Architectural Metals (Field Operations)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Pay: Starts at $32.00/hour (higher based on experience)

Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead Installer to manage field crews responsible for installing structural and miscellaneous metal components, including stairs, railings, and related assemblies. This position oversees daily job site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and in alignment with project timelines.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on metals experience who is comfortable leading teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Supervision & Planning
• Lead and direct installation crews working on structural and miscellaneous metal projects
• Coordinate daily site activities with general contractors and other trades
• Plan work assignments, including labor allocation, materials, and equipment needs
Installation Execution
• Review drawings, blueprints, and layout details to guide proper installation
• Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and timelines
• Assist with layout, measurements, and alignment as needed
Safety & Compliance
• Act as the primary safety contact onsite, ensuring adherence to PPE and job-specific safety requirements
• Confirm field personnel maintain appropriate certifications and qualifications
• Conduct regular safety meetings and reinforce safe work practices
Reporting & Asset Oversight
• Complete daily field reports, logs, and vehicle inspections
• Monitor the use and condition of tools, equipment, and company vehicles
• Provide updates on job progress, challenges, and overall site status
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with structural or miscellaneous metals (preferred)
• Previous leadership or crew supervision experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and safety documentation
• Strong math skills, including measurements, angles, and layout calculations
• Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 standards and welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW)
• Current welding certifications or ability to pass a weld test
