We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Hand for our HVAC Internals Department. This role is responsible for overseeing and performing the installation of internal components within HVAC units, including doors, plugs, and all internal assemblies. The Lead Hand will also support general unit assembly as required and play a key role in guiding and mentoring team members.
Key Responsibilities
Install internal components of HVAC units, including doors, plugs, insulation, and related assemblies
Support overall unit assembly to ensure production flow and schedule adherence
Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and mentoring to team members within the Internals Department
Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with drawings and specifications
Collaborate with Production Supervisors and other departments to resolve issues and maintain efficiency
Maintain a clean and organized work area and promote best practices within the team
Assist with training new employees and developing internal skillsets
Monitor quality and ensure all internal components meet company standards
Qualifications & Skills
Strong background in HVAC assembly, particularly internal components (doors, plugs, insulation, etc.)
Demonstrated leadership ability with experience mentoring or guiding others
Ability to read and interpret drawings and work instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments
Reliable, organized, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
Previous Lead Hand or senior assembler experience
Hands-on HVAC manufacturing or assembly experience
Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday: 6:00 am – 3:30 pm
Friday: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
