Purpose of the Role / Summary: 

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining React applications that are efficient, reliable, and easy to use. The developer will work with back-end APIs, write clean and reusable code, and help ensure the overall quality of the software through testing and best coding practices. The role involves working closely with designers, testers, and other developers to build and improve features. It also includes documenting the development process and helping improve existing projects for better performance and user experience.

Main Activities & Responsibilities: 

Write and maintain high-quality, efficient, and reusable React code that meets project requirements and adheres to technical standards

Analyze technical requirements and adapt code to ensure robustness, scalability, and maintainability

Integrate React with back-end APIs and services, ensuring seamless data flow and user experience

Implement and promote best coding practices (including code reviews, linting, and style guides) to ensure code quality and maintainability

Develop and oversee quality assurance procedures, including testing strategies and methodologies to ensure reliable software delivery

Analyze technical requirements and translate them into functional code and solutions

Identify areas for improvement and propose revisions to enhance existing projects

Collaborate with other developers, UI/UX designers, QA testers, system analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure cohesive development efforts

Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment and progress towards project goals

Document all aspects of the development process, including code changes, development workflows, and technical specifications for future reference and maintenance

Integrate React applications with various APIs and third-party libraries, ensuring seamless interoperability

Conduct thorough testing of front-end components to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, ensuring high performance and usability

Required Skills & Experience:

Deep understanding of React (including hooks, context, state management, and performance optimization)

Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and strong grasp of modern front-end architecture

Expertise with Material UI component library and styled-components for UI development

Knowledge of form handling libraries (react-hook-form, yup)

Experience with React Router for client-side routing

Knowledge of testing libraries (Jest, React Testing Library)

Experience with at least one state management library (Redux, etc.)

Experience with development tools like ESLint, Prettier, and Webpack

Knowledge of RESTful APIs, Websocket and integrating front-end applications with back-end services

Experience with front-end testing frameworks and tools (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, etc.)

Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

Performance Optimization

Skills in profiling, debugging, and optimizing React applications for performance and scalability

Knowledge of browser rendering behavior, code splitting, lazy loading, and caching strategies

Proficiency with Git, including branching, merging, and pull request workflows

Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments

Proficiency with collaboration tools (Jira, Github, etc.)

Ability to collaborate effectively with UI/UX designers and implement pixel-perfect, accessible user interfaces

Demonstrated experience leading teams, conducting code reviews, and providing constructive feedback

Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical decisions to stakeholders of varying technical knowledge

Further Info: 

Working hours are 09:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday or as per the departmental flextime arrangement

The role is in Istanbul, Turkiye
