Job Description:

• 8+ years of relevant BCDR [Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery] work experience with a strong knowledge of backup and disaster recovery technologies including Datto BCDR, Unitrends, or similar enterprise backup solutions

• Experience with business impact analysis (BIA) methodologies and recovery planning frameworks

• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and network infrastructure

• Understanding of various operating systems including Windows Server, Linux distributions, and network protocols

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex backup and recovery scenarios

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously

• Willingness to provide on-call support during disaster recovery events

• Experience with PSA systems and MSP operational workflows a plus

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Continuity, or related field

• Disaster recovery/business continuity professional certifications preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with Clients to define Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) based on business criticality assessments

• Monitor and manage backup environments across Windows, macOS, and Linux systems ensuring reliable backup processes that meet defined RPO targets

• Execute quarterly disaster recovery tests to validate recovery processes and ensure RTO compliance across diverse client environments

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and runbook documentation including VM configurations, network settings, and recovery procedures

• Perform deep-dive analysis of backup failures and recovery issues, correlating data from various sources to determine root causes and implement solutions

• Identify and propose areas for improvement in backup reliability and recovery validation processes

• Support Clients during real disaster recovery events, ensuring minimal downtime and successful restoration of critical business systems. Serve as liaison to Datto's Code Red Team for complex recovery scenarios.

• Work independently with strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills to maintain comprehensive service records
