Role Description

Amtech is accelerating its product modernization and innovation journey across its ERP portfolio and customer-facing platforms.

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to spearhead the technical execution and modernization of our EnCore ERP platform, built on .NET and the WiseJ framework. This role blends hands-on development with strategic technical leadership, offering the opportunity to guide a team through complex engineering challenges while transitioning legacy systems to scalable, cloud-ready architecture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise software development

• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Framework

• Deep expertise in SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning

• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, TCP/IP protocols, and ADO.NET

• Solid understanding of relational databases and client-server architecture

• Strong grasp of design patterns and software engineering principles

• Proven leadership in technical initiatives and mentoring teams

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with WiseJ or similar web forms frameworks

• Prior experience in ERP domain enterprise application development

• Familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery, and third-party toolsets (DevExpress, Xamarin, WiseJ)

• Exposure to application performance monitoring and logging strategies

• Understanding of unit testing practices

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with global teams

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and microservices architecture

• Experience migrating legacy systems to modern frameworks

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
