Role Description

Amtech is accelerating its product modernization and innovation journey across its ERP portfolio and customer-facing platforms.

We are looking for a hands-on and technically proficient Lead Engineer to spearhead the modernization of our legacy 4D ERP system. This role involves rearchitecting the front-end using React, building scalable back-end services with Node.js, and normalizing the database into PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in full-stack development, legacy system migration, and database design.

The ideal candidate will also bring strong experience in cloud-native architectures and SaaS product development, with a proven ability to build scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise solutions deployed in cloud environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

•
8+ years of experience in full-stack development.

•
Strong proficiency in React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.

•
Experience in legacy system modernization or ERP platform development.

•
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and database normalization.

•
Experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

•
Hands-on experience with SaaS architecture, including multi-tenancy, subscription models, and service orchestration.

•
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

•
Familiarity with 4D or similar legacy platforms.

•
Experience with data migration and ETL processes.

•
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

•
Exposure to ERP workflows and enterprise-grade software architecture.

•
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

•
Understanding of SaaS metrics and operational concerns (e.g., uptime, latency, cost optimization).

•
Experience integrating AI services into SaaS platforms (e.g., chatbots, NLP, computer vision).

•
Knowledge of AI ethics, governance, and compliance in enterprise applications.
