Lead DevOps Engineer (Life Sciences & Healthcare)

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join our Technology Consulting team based in Barcelona.

This is an amazing opportunity to work on ClaRITA, our flagship Life Sciences & Healthcare Regulatory Intelligence platform, leveraging modern cloud-native technologies and automation frameworks.

The team consists of 8 engineers and reports to the Director of Technical Consulting. We have a strong skill set in AWS, Docker, and CI/CD automation, and we would love to speak with you if you have expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), container orchestration, and advanced DevOps practices.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
7+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred).
Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar).

It would be great if you also had

Experience with monitoring and observability tools (DataDog).
Familiarity with security best practices in cloud and containerized environments.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

What will you be doing in this role?

Infrastructure Automation & CI/CD: Design, implement, and maintain automated pipelines and infrastructure as code for multiple product environments.
Cloud Architecture & Optimization: Lead cloud infrastructure design and cost optimization initiatives across AWS services.
Reliability & Scalability: Ensure high availability and performance of production systems through proactive monitoring and incident response.
Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and QA teams to streamline deployments and improve delivery velocity.
Tooling & Innovation: Evaluate and introduce new DevOps tools and practices to continuously improve operational efficiency.

Product you will be developing

ClaRITA – a cutting-edge Regulatory Intelligence platform, deployed in a secure, scalable cloud environment.

In addition to ClaRITA, you will contribute to consulting products and solutions that are cloud-native by design, incorporating the latest technologies such as serverless computing, event-driven architectures, and observability frameworks. These solutions enable our clients to modernize their operations, accelerate digital transformation, and achieve compliance in highly regulated environments.

Our technology stack includes AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions, and monitoring solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana. We continuously explore emerging technologies to ensure our platforms remain at the forefront of innovation.

About the Team

You will join a dynamic Technology Consulting team focused on delivering innovative solutions for global clients in the Life Sciences sector. The team includes backend engineers, DevOps specialists, and solution architects, working with modern tools like AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.

Hours of Work

This is a permanent full-time position at 40 hours a week (35 hours during July and August). The position is hybrid going to our office in Barcelona (next to Sagrada Familia) 2-3 times per week.
