Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Lead DCS Engineer to work out of our Bangalore, India office. As the successful candidate, you will work as part of a global team and provide design, engineering, and technical support on a wide variety of process control system projects for our customers. With each project, you will be responsible for solving problems throughout the design process from conception to commissioning, while establishing effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. 

Primary Responsibilities
•    Programming and Implementation of major modern DCS systems such as Honeywell C300/DeltaV, ABB, Foxboro, PCS7, etc. 
•    Control systems optimization, troubleshooting, maintenance, start-up, installation and retrofit experience and training.
•    Configuring logic and graphics for a particular process area based on P&IDs and control narratives or logic diagrams.
•    Responsible for internal quality assurance, acceptance testing with customers, on-site commissioning, and follow-up support.
•    Demonstrate understanding of object-oriented programming techniques and familiarity with an object-oriented language (such as C++).
•    Ability to program in a scripting language (Perl, AWK, or similar). Ideally knows several programming languages and has demonstrated experience implementing scripts to automate repetitive engineering tasks (so people don’t have to do them)
•    Process knowledge of at least one major industry, viz., Pulp and Paper, Power, Mining, or Chemicals.
•    Knowledge of common industrial vocabulary for process equipment
.•    Familiarity with applicable safety standards
.•    Interpret specifications and technical requirements; verify customer interconnections, and knowledge of all aspects of electrical interface with the control system. Prepare engineering drawings and be responsible for design, field commissioning, and troubleshooting ALL of the following:o    Instrumentso    DCS panelso    Plant wiringo    Digital buses (at least one of DeviceNet, Modbus, FieldBus, HART, EtherNet/IP)o    Motor starterso    Variable frequency drives
•    Provide I&C consulting services to customers operating a wide range of original equipment, including: generators and motors, excitation controllers, and turbine auxiliary systems.Desired Skills & Experience:
•    Hands on Programming and Implementation experience with major modern DCS systems such as Honeywell C300/DeltaV, ABB, Foxboro, PCS7, etc.
•    Resourceful, self-managed, and goal-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Willing to travel to customers’ sites for meetings and commissioning abroad or within India for extended periods of time. 
•    Strong analytic, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills (English) to interact with customers.
•    Strong written English skills to draft technical documents such as user manuals, amendments to control narratives, and descriptions of DCS.
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
