Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Auckland. But you have choice in where and how you work, we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

This role will see you:

• Coaching a team of embedded data scientists to deliver insights, experimentation, and strategic clarity across the logged-in experience

• Owning key metrics for onboarding, personalisation, and lifecycle journeys — and using them to guide decisions

• Leading end-to-end experimentation, from designing hypotheses to rollout recommendations

• Partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to drive engagement, retention, and activation outcomes

• Uplifting experimentation and BI foundations across Snowflake, Looker, and Canva’s internal tools

• Translating data into actionable recommendations — and setting the standard for high-impact analysis and storytelling

• Enabling data-driven, personalised user experiences at scale — across onboarding, resurrection, triggers, and next-best actions

You're probably a match if

• You’ve led and coached data scientists within a fast-paced product environment

• You bring strong expertise in experimentation, retention analytics, and lifecycle metrics

• You’re fluent in SQL and comfortable with data wrangling in Python or R

• You’ve worked with SaaS product datasets and know how to balance rigour and speed

• You’re known for crafting clear, evidence-based recommendations that drive decisions

• You love turning complexity into clarity — especially when guiding non-technical stakeholders

• You enjoy growing people and lifting the bar for storytelling, experimentation, and impact

The Experience Value team sits within the Logged-in Experience group and focuses on helping every user find value, faster. We power onboarding, resurrection, personalisation, and B2B data experiences that help people start designing and keep coming back. Whether it’s through reducing friction, recommending the right next action, or helping sales teams target high-quality leads — we put data at the centre of decision-making to make every Canva journey more valuable and personal.
