About the Role

We are seeking Senior / Lead Data Engineers to join our growing Data Cloud Practice in Australia. This role will suit individuals who are passionate about both hands-on data engineering delivery and client-facing consulting, with the ability to step up into leadership responsibilities.

You will work with leading global organisations across industries such as banking & finance, insurance, government, telco, media, and FMCG. The role is split across 80% technical project delivery and 20% leadership responsibilities, supporting the Practice Lead in capability building and delivery quality.

What you’ll do

Deliver cloud-based data engineering solutions for blue-chip clients.

Provide technical direction, thought leadership, and best practices in data engineering.

Work directly with stakeholders in pre-sales, requirements gathering, and solution design.

Mentor and support team members, with the potential to grow into a leadership role.

Drive delivery excellence across a variety of industries and client engagements.

What you’ll need

7–10 years’ experience across data engineering, cloud computing, or data warehousing.

Strong technical expertise in one or more: Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Microsoft Fabric.

Strong background in data modelling, ETL processes, and SQL.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with consulting mindset.

Ability to step into a lead role, even if prior leadership experience is limited.

Highly desirable:

Prior consulting experience.

Data solution design & architecture experience.

Familiarity with dbt, Fivetran, Matillion.

Programming experience (Python, Java, Scala).

Relevant certifications (e.g., SnowPro).
