As a Lead Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust web applications and backend systems that power mission-critical platforms. You will work closely with frontend engineers, DevOps teams, and product stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing web solutions. This role requires strong leadership, architectural thinking, and hands-on coding expertise.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable web applications and backend systems.
• Architect and implement high-performance RESTful Web Services and APIs.
• Develop real-time communication systems using WebSocket for event-driven and streaming applications.
• Build and maintain server-side applications using Python and Golang.
• Develop backend services and tools using TypeScript where required.
• Optimize web performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed systems.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to streamline build processes using Webpack and ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend layers.
• Establish best practices for web development, backend architecture, and code quality.
• Lead code reviews, enforce testing standards, and drive automated web testing strategies (unit, integration, performance, and API testing).
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms.
• Design microservices and event-driven architectures where applicable.
• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering technical growth and ownership.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and production deployments.

Required Skills & Expertise

• 6–20 years of experience in backend and web development.
• Strong expertise in Web Development and building large-scale Web Applications.
• Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful WebServices.
• Hands-on development experience with Python and/or Golang in production environments.
• Proficiency in TypeScript for backend or full-stack implementations.
• Deep understanding of WebSocket protocols and real-time systems.
• Experience with Webpack and modern web build tools.
• Strong knowledge of backend testing frameworks and Web Testing methodologies.
• Solid understanding of API security, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and data encryption.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and system design skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building high-availability, low-latency systems.
• Exposure to containerization and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Knowledge of event streaming systems (Kafka, Redis Streams, etc.).
• Experience leading engineering teams and driving architectural decisions.
