A Day in the Life of a Lead Automotive Mechanic:
Work under the guidance of the Director of Operations
Perform and oversee all maintenance on CLC vehicles, including:
Oil changes
Tire repair and replacement
Drivetrain and general mechanical repairs
Ensure all vehicles receive routine maintenance and scheduled inspections
Oversee all inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance activities for the CLC fleet
Maintain strong working relationships with outside vendors for parts and supplies
Assist the Director of Operations with negotiating services necessary to meet fleet needs
Ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and operational to support CLC programs
Complete other assigned duties as needed to support fleet operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 18 years of age
Ability to pass a background check upon hire
Valid driver's license
Associate's degree preferred or 10 years’ experience in automotive mechanics
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and climb
Have the ability to work in changing environments
Physical Requirements: This role involves regular standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and hands-on support. Reasonable accommodations are available.
