Our client Smoobu (www.smoobu.com) is a fast-growing startup in the vacation rental industry. Smoobu’s all-in-one SaaS solution for private hosts currently manages over 70,000 properties across more than 120 countries. Smoobu’s priority is to help its hosts efficiently manage and grow their business.

You will work across multiple engineering teams in a young, ambitious, and international environment representing over 28 nationalities. This is a high-impact individual contributor role with no direct reports - focused purely on architecture leadership, mentorship, and technical decision-making. As Smoobu continues to scale and innovate, they are looking for a business-curious full-stack technologist eager to take on the challenge of shaping the technical future of the vacation rental industry and taking it to the next level.

In this role, you will :
• Define the architectural strategy, establish priorities, and drive execution across all technical initiatives
• Design the most complex and high-impact technical solutions, leading critical decisions and ensuring alignment among multiple engineering teams and stakeholders
• Coordinate Global Tech Debt Resolution program to maintain development pace. Set standards, keep raising the quality bar
• Research and discover emerging technology opportunities to generate significant business impact and secure competitive advantages. Contribute hands-on implementing proof of concept or critical strategic solutions
• Coach and mentor engineers across teams, providing architectural guidance and high-quality technical feedback. Foster a culture of learning, ownership, and engineering excellence. This role has no direct reports, enabling full focus on architecture, mentorship, and technical decision-making
• Own hosting infrastructure, ensure fit-to-purpose and cost efficiency

What you will bring :
• Demonstrated ability to design and build large-scale, highly complex systems
• A proven track record of proposing and delivering high-impact technological initiatives
• Experience leading technical programs spanning multiple engineering teams
• Deep hands-on expertise with AWS or comparable cloud platforms
• Strong practical experience in AI-driven coding, including establishing robust and efficient development environments
• Solid working knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, and React.js
• Expert-level proficiency in at least two database engines
• Exceptional prioritization and decision-making skills
• A business-minded full-stack technology perspective, with a strong focus on outcomes over processes
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

Salary range:
141 - 211 PLN/h + VAT (B2B)
19 660 - 29 500 PLN gross (Permanent)
