Job Overview:

Title: Apigge Lead

Experience –10 – 12 Years

Location: Mumbai

Requirements:
Required skills :

· Architect, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure APIs using Apigee Edge, Apigee X and Apigee Hybrid platforms.

· Lead API lifecycle management including API productization, versioning, governance, and developer portal integration.

· Implement and enforce API security measures such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, API key validation, threat protection and access control.

· Design and configure API gateways, proxies, policies, shared flows, traffic management (quotas, spike arrest), caching, and mediation.

· Collaborate with solution architects, product owners, backend teams, and DevOps to ensure seamless API integration with microservices and backend systems.

· Drive CI/CD automation for API deployments and configuration using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.

· Monitor, troubleshoot, performance-tune APIs, and respond to production escalations with root cause analysis.

· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mid and junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions.

· Maintain API documentation and best practice guides for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

· 10–12+ years of hands-on experience in API development, integration, and management.

· Strong expertise with Apigee Edge, Apigee X, and Apigee Hybrid platforms and API lifecycle tools.

· Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON, XML, and best API practices.

· Proven experience implementing API security, authentication, authorization, and encryption.

· Proficient in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python or Node.js for custom policies or extensions.

· Experience with microservices architecture, backend integration, and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure.

· Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
