Job Description
Your tasks:
You are the strategic architect of our company-wide "single source of truth." As Lead Analytics Engineer (m/f/d) at FTAPI, you will take end-to-end responsibility for our Modern Data Stack. You transform complex raw data into high-performance "Golden Tables," act as the bridge between Finance, RevOps, and Product, and prepare our data infrastructure for future GenAI use cases.
• Infrastructure Ownership: You take end-to-end responsibility for our Modern Data Stack - from data integration to the semantic layer, primarily within Snowflake
• Single Source of Truth (SSOT): You develop and design our cross-departmental "Golden Tables." Your clear goal: Zero Metric Drift for all stakeholders
• Vendor Management & Technical Lead: You manage external Data Engineers, provide precise technical specifications, and ensure high quality through rigorous code reviews
• Data Democratization: You empower decentralized "Data Champions" within the business departments to independently create dashboards (e.g. in Metabase) and perform self-service data analysis
• AI Readiness: You enhance our central data models with semantic metadata, thereby ensuring their structured and future-proof use for LLMs and AI applications
• Collaboration: You work closely with our Product Data Scientist to create a clean data foundation for ML models and data-driven product features
Your profile:
• You have 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or modern BI, including 2–3 years of hands-on experience with the Modern Data Stack (especially Snowflake)
• You have a proven track record of leading architecture or data projects from a functional perspective, as well as managing external service providers/vendors
• You are a “bridge builder” and have a strong intuition for translating business problems and ambiguous requirements into standardized and scalable data models
• Strict software engineering practices (Git version control, CI/CD, automated testing, etc.) are second nature to you.
• You speak English fluently; German language skills and relevant certifications (e.g., SnowPro Core) are considered a plus
