Hiring Unit: Faculty of Law Course Number: LAWG 552 Course Title: US Space Law and Policy Course Credits: 1 Term: Focus Week Winter 2026 Course Schedule: Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri 0905-1155 (Student Affairs Office will contact you if there is a change to the date/time) Location: Chancellor Day Hall Course Description: The United States has developed a body of domestic space law and policy since 1958 which continues to evolve. The course will explore the U.S. system including separation of powers, the relationship between policy and law in the United States, the interaction between statute and regulation, roles and responsibilities distributed across the interagency and branches of government, and the increasingly important role of technological awareness in effective rulemaking in the United States. Please note that this course will be allocated to a member using an exemption as per article 15.03.03 of the MCLIU collective agreement.
