About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, as the Laundry Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all laundry operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely service.

As Laundry Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

To oversee all laundry operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely service.
To supervise and manage the laundry team, ensuring proper workflow and adherence to service standards.
To ensure all linens, uniforms, and guest items are cleaned, pressed, and presented according to hotel standards.
To manage laundry inventory, monitoring linen usage, stock levels, and replacement needs.
To implement and maintain SOPs, ensuring consistency in washing, drying, and finishing processes.
To monitor and maintain laundry equipment, coordinating with Engineering for regular maintenance and repairs.
To manage budgets and cost control, optimizing operational expenses without compromising quality.
To collaborate with Housekeeping and Front Office, ensuring seamless linen supply and guest laundry services.
To ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a clean and secure work environment.
To perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Executive Housekeeper.

As Laundry Manager, we expect from you:

Experience and education

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in laundry operations within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience in managing laundry inventory, budgeting, and cost control.

Technical Skills

Strong communication skills in Spanish. Knowledge of English is preferred.
Extensive knowledge of laundry operations, including washing, drying, pressing, and finishing of linens and guest garments.
Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to laundry and textile care.
Attention to detail, ensuring all linens and guest garments meet the highest cleanliness and presentation standards.
Knowledge of textile care and fabric types, ensuring proper handling of high-end and delicate materials.
