Laundry Attendant X 3

Nestled along the sweeping banks of the majestic Kafue River, Anantara Kafue River Lodge invites you to be part of an extraordinary safari destination set in one of Africa’s last truly untouched wilderness regions. We are seeking three dedicated Laundry Attendants to join our team in Kafue, Zambia. As a Laundry Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of linens for our camp. The ideal candidates will be organized, efficient, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

 

• Operate and maintain various laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machines
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and other items according to established procedures
• Ensure proper handling of different fabric types and follow care instructions
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry area
• Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs
• Keep accurate records of laundry processed and supplies used
• Assist in inventory management of linens and laundry supplies
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of clean linens
• Adhere to health and safety regulations in the workplace
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests or other staff members

• Proficiency in operating laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machines
• Strong knowledge of sorting techniques and fabric care
• Full grade 12 certificate
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards
• Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to  multi task work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
• Prior experience in laundry services or hospitality industry preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed
