About The Role :
The sorting facility supervisor is responsible for supervising daily sorting operations and ensuring all parcels are received, processed and dispatched correctly and on schedule. The role involves coordinating with team leaders and team staff, maintaining workflow efficiency and supporting the sorting facility manager in achieving operational targets.

Job Responsibilities::
• Receive inbound dispatches from the central sorting facility and categorize orders by geographic zone or delivery route.
• Develop and communicate efficient daily distribution plans to allocate orders to assigned Drivers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Drivers, providing real-time support to resolve operational issues and ensure route completion.
• Manage the end-of-day process, including the receipt and reconciliation of all orders and documentation from Drivers upon route completion.
• Monitor and audit Driver’s wallets, ensuring timely settlements and escalating any discrepancies or shortages to the fleet team.
• Train, mentor, and onboard temporary staff and junior coordinators on standard operating procedures and best practices.
• Proactively analyze workflows to identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.
• Manage inventory control by coordinating the return transfer of canceled orders to the sorting facility after exceeding the designated 24-hour holding period at the hub.
• Ensure precise operational handovers by preparing and sending formal communication to the sorting facility team, detailing transferred shipment counts, seal numbers, tracking data, and status.

Job Qualification::
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics or shipping coordination, with a focus on bulky or oversized shipments.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering collaboration and a positive work environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, and Drivers.
• The ability to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
• Familiarity with shipping management software and tracking systems.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
