The Global Siri Organization is the team that teaches Siri how to understand and speak new languages. We work hard to bring the best user experiences and language technologies, powered by Apple Intelligence, to the our customers across the world.

Join the Global Siri team to deliver the best Siri experiences around the world. In this role you will be responsible for managing the engineering team delivering Siri worldwide. We are passionate about bringing innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges, with a focus on improving the end to end quality of Siri for our international users. From Speech Recognition to NLP, and data consumption all the way to Speech Synthesis: be ready to help us develop robust and scalable systems that satisfy our market needs.

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager who wants to bring their passion for building and leading an incredible team. Our cross-functional work spans the entire product life cycle, from inception to shipping models to billions of devices. The ideal candidate would have expertise in the development of multi-lingual technologies, and in managing a diverse engineering team. Specific responsibilities include:

Working closely with the different Understanding, Experience, Tools, Platform and International teams, managing a team of Language Engineers to implement quality products that meet business goals.

Leading the team responsible for making data driven decisions to deliver high quality Siri experiences across the globe. Also responsible for data annotation efforts and defining language specific representations, conventions and techniques.

Building ambitious engineering plans to achieve international excellence for Siri customers around the world.

Providing regular updates to organization groups as well as VP-level management.

Preferred Qualifications
Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle, developing detailed technical designs, and implementations.
Strong communication, both written and verbal, including the ability to work well with people from a wide range of backgrounds with varying levels of technical knowledge.
Ability to establish strong partnerships and manage complex cross-functional relationships.
Experience developing robust scalable system for international markets.
Hands on experience leading engineering teams developing Machine Learning systems and language technologies. Detailed understanding of building, evaluating and managing the release processes of ML systems.
Experience developing, training, fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs), Computer Vision models, or Generative AI models.
M.Sc. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
