Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader
La Rosa Landscape is seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader to join our team. This full-time position is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality landscapes, and has experience leading and mentoring maintenance crews.
As a Maintenance Crew Leader, you’ll oversee and actively participate in the care and upkeep of lawns, gardens, and landscapes for residential and commercial clients—ensuring our properties look their best while mentoring your team to perform safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do-
Lead and supervise landscape maintenance crews, providing guidance and on-the-job training
Oversee lawn mowing, edging, and trimming for residential and commercial properties
Supervise and participate in planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and seasonal color displays
Inspect landscapes for pests, disease, or irrigation issues and take appropriate action
Maintain tools, equipment, and clean, organized job sites
Plan daily work schedules, manage workflow, and ensure jobs are completed on time
Communicate clearly with clients, supervisors, and team members regarding site needs and project progress
Assist with special projects, seasonal installations, and landscaping improvements
Perform winter snow removal operations, including plowing, shoveling and salting
What We’re Looking For-
2–5+ years of landscape maintenance or gardening experience
Prior experience supervising or leading a team
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship
Knowledge of horticulture, plant care, and sustainable landscaping practices
Wisconsin Category 3 Pesticide License for turf and ornamental
Ability to operate maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and small utility vehicles
Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License with an insurable driving record
Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Bonus Skills: Plant identification, pest management, irrigation knowledge, customer service experience
