We are seeking an experienced Landscape Gardener / Container Planting Specialist to support the design, installation, and care of decorative container gardens and landscaped areas throughout Cohasset, MA. This full-time role centers on maintaining seasonal displays and enhancing outdoor spaces for residential and commercial clients.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on horticultural experience, a strong understanding of plant care, and a passion for working outdoors in a team-oriented setting. This opportunity allows you to combine creativity with technical plant knowledge to deliver visually appealing and healthy landscapes year-round.
Key Responsibilities
• Create, install, and maintain seasonal container gardens, decorative planters, and landscape beds
• Choose and arrange appropriate plant varieties including annuals, perennials, shrubs, and ornamentals
• Maintain plant health through proper pruning, fertilizing, pest prevention, and disease management
• Perform general landscape upkeep such as watering, mulching, weeding, and soil conditioning
• Partner with clients and team members to execute landscape designs and meet project expectations
• Assess plant performance and address growth or health concerns proactively
• Operate landscaping equipment, irrigation systems, and hand/power tools safely
• Support seasonal transitions including spring and fall planting installations
Requirements:
• 2–4 years of practical experience in landscaping, horticulture, or container gardening
• Knowledge of plant species, soil conditions, fertilization techniques, and integrated pest management
• Comfortable using landscaping tools, irrigation systems, and outdoor equipment
• Physically able to perform manual outdoor labor in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Familiarity with landscape design concepts is preferred
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
