Job Description

At John Mini, we make places beautiful. The John Mini team is a leader in indoor and outdoor landscaping as well as holiday design. We design, install, and maintain landscapes all over the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

We are hiring a Landscape Estimator! This position is responsible for take-offs and estimating project costs of Indoor & Outdoor projects. This position will be based out of our Congers, NY (Rockland County) headquarters, but candidates must be willing to travel into New York City for appointments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop project cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment and subcontractors

Analyze designs/plans provided to complete take-offs for estimating and pricing purposes

Work with subcontractors and suppliers to determine project costs

Attend pre-construction meetings to understand the logistics and scope of work to be completed as well as the progress of the estimating process.

Assist Sales/Exterior AM’s with project presentation to clients when necessary

Calculate Change Orders associated with a project

Coordinate & plan to hand off of all landscape installation projects with Exterior Purchasing and Exterior Installations
