Construction Crew Leader
La Rosa Landscape is seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Crew Leader to join our team in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, year-round leadership position for someone who takes pride in quality work, enjoys mentoring others, and thrives in a hands-on, outdoor environment.
As a Crew Leader, you’ll play a key role in bringing high-end landscape and hardscape designs to life—leading installation crews, ensuring craftsmanship, and helping build outdoor spaces our clients love.
What You’ll Do
As a Construction Crew Leader, you’ll oversee and actively participate in landscape construction and hardscape projects from start to finish. Responsibilities include:
Leading and supervising landscape construction crews on residential and commercial projects
Installing and overseeing hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor living spaces
Reading and interpreting project plans, blueprints, and specifications
Planning daily tasks, managing workflow, and ensuring projects stay on schedule
Ensuring all work meets La Rosa Landscape’s quality and safety standards
Operating and maintaining equipment such as skid steers, excavators, compactors, and hand tools
Training, mentoring, and motivating crew members on proper techniques and jobsite safety
Communicating clearly with supervisors regarding job progress, materials, and site needs
Maintaining clean, organized jobsites and well-cared-for equipment
Completing daily reports, time tracking, and basic documentation
Performing winter snow removal operations, including plowing and salting
What We’re Looking For
3–5+ years of experience in hardscape installation, landscaping, or construction
Prior experience leading or supervising a crew
Strong knowledge of hardscape materials, tools, and installation methods
Ability to operate heavy equipment (skid steer and excavator experience preferred)
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift 50+ pounds regularly
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Snow removal experience preferred
Preferred (But Not Required)
ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) certification
Experience with grading, drainage, and site preparation
Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday
Occasional Saturdays during peak season and snow operations
Winter hours vary based on snow events and alternative winter work assignments
