Landscape Architecture / Landscape Design Intern

Ottawa Office

Summer 2026

$20 to $25/hourly

With the support and guidance of Landscape Architects and Landscape Designers, you will work collaboratively with all disciplines of the firm on a variety of projects. This role is with our Ottawa office and is an in-office position with occasional on-site work.

Responsibilities include:

Conduct site assessment and construction review visits and prepare supporting documentation.

Prepare contract drawing packages (layout, grading and planting plans and construction details).

Prepare landscape plans to support development approvals.

Prepare graphic images to support proposals.

Assist with preparing and conducting public engagement activities.

Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements include:

Applicants must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program in Landscape Architecture, a Landscape Design program or a Landscape Architecture Technology program.

A demonstrated basic competency with AutoCAD, Adobe CS, Microsoft Office. Experience with SketchUp, Enscape or Rhino would be considered beneficial.

Proven ability to communicate ideas through hand drawing and sketching.

Solid verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex information.

Desire and ability to work independently and as part of a larger design team.

Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, write clearly, and resolve problems creatively.

Applicants must have a valid driver's license and occasional access to a vehicle for site review visits.
