Location: Langley, BC

Job Type: Full-Time (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Position Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Labourer / Equipment Operator to join our Langley Yard team in support of bridge and infrastructure construction. This role involves assisting with a variety of on-site tasks, including preparation of job loadout/offload, equipment maintenance, and general labour to ensure workflow. The safe operation of forklifts and other mobile equipment is required.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general physical labor, including lifting, carrying materials, and supporting daily site activities.

Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment (e.g., telehandlers, skid steers, loaders) to move materials safely and efficiently around the yard.

Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and staging materials for crews.

Conduct pre-operational equipment inspections and report any issues or maintenance needs.

Follow all safety procedures and site protocols when operating equipment and performing labor tasks.

Maintain attention to detail to ensure high-quality work.

Follow instructions and work effectively under supervision or as part of a team.

Maintain a reliable and punctual presence with a strong work ethic.

Requirements:

Previous construction and/or bridge experience

Valid forklift or mobile equipment operator certification/experience.

Valid class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract

Reliable transportation

A valid First Aid ticket would be an asset

Working Conditions

Outdoor work on bridge decks and in Yard under various weather conditions.

Operation of mobile equipment in active construction environment.

Employees are required to supply their own work boots and hard hat; specialized PPE will be provided.

Compensation

$25 to $35 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).
