POSITION SUMMARY
Egan Landscape Group is seeking dependable, hard-working General Laborers to support various departments across our Landscaping, Irrigation, Nursery, and Construction teams. This is a full-time seasonal, outdoor role with responsibilities that may include landscape maintenance, irrigation system support, plant care and customer service at our wholesale nursery, and hands-on participation in landscape construction projects.
The specific responsibilities of this role will vary based on seasonal demands and company priorities. Candidates should be comfortable rotating between different teams and tasks as needed. Flexibility and a strong work ethic are key. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, appreciate variety in their day, and want to grow their skills in the green industry.

POTENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Please note: You may be assigned to one or more of the following areas depending on the company’s needs. You will not be expected to perform all duties at once, but flexibility and a willingness to learn multiple skill sets are highly valued.
Landscape Maintenance
Mowing lawns and turf areas using commercial-grade equipment
Performing string trimming, edging, pruning, and mulching
Weeding and maintaining existing planting beds
Performing seasonal property cleanups and debris removal
Supporting maintenance crews in residential and commercial settings
Using hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently
Landscape Construction / Laborer
Installing plant materials including trees, shrubs, and perennials
Creating new planting beds, edging lines, and preparing soil
Assisting with the installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and drainage solutions
Performing grading, digging, and site preparation work
Loading, transporting, and staging construction materials and equipment
Working alongside foremen and construction crews to complete large-scale landscape installation projects
Irrigation Support
Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems
Learning to diagnose and troubleshoot issues such as wiring, leaks, and controller malfunctions
Supporting efforts to improve system performance and water efficiency
Nursery Operations
Watering, organizing, and maintaining plant materials to ensure plant health and presentation
Operating equipment such as skid steers, mini skid steers, or wheel loaders
Assisting wholesale customers with plant selection, order preparation, and loading
Receiving, offloading, and relocating nursery stock deliveries to appropriate staging or holding areas in an organized and efficient manner
General Expectations
Following all safety procedures and contributing to a clean, safe job site
Demonstrating reliability, a team-first attitude, and adaptability to shifting priorities
Upholding a high standard of quality, professionalism, and customer service in all work
COMPETENCIES
Strong work ethic and reliability in all weather conditions
Physical stamina to perform demanding outdoor tasks (lifting, digging, mowing, kneeling, etc.)
Willingness to learn and assist across departments as needed
Attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly with team members
Experience in landscaping, irrigation, nursery work, or construction is a plus but not required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Prior experience in landscaping, irrigation, nursery, or construction is helpful but not required—we provide training for the right individuals
MA Hoisting License 2A or willingness to obtain is a plus
A valid driver’s license is helpful but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
Frequent bending, kneeling, digging, lifting, and use of hand tools or power equipment
Must be able to sustain extended periods of physical activity on uneven terrain
