Laboratory Technician I - Seasonal
SUMMARY STATEMENT
AgSource is seeking a Seasonal Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations in our Stratford location. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible, seasonal work, with hours that fluctuate based on business needs. This position is responsible for accurately preparing, conducting, and reporting sample analyses according to approved standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control guidelines, while meeting established laboratory turnaround times.
Key Responsibilities
Perform sample preparation, analysis, and reporting in accordance with laboratory SOPs and established turnaround times
Calibrate and operate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results
Complete and maintain required documentation, including logs, reports, and quality records
Monitor quality control results, identify issues, and support corrective actions as needed
Conduct routine laboratory tasks, including media/solution preparation, cleaning, and inventory monitoring
Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE, hazard identification, and completion of required safety training
Position Requirements
High School diploma or GED required
0–2+ years of laboratory experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel)
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Flexibility to work variable hours and overtime as needed
