Position Overview
The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) provides compassionate, skilled nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and immediate recovery. This role is essential in ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered experiences for families during this critical time.

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to obstetrical patients during labor, delivery, and recovery
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond to changes in condition
Assist physicians and providers during labor and delivery procedures
Administer medications and maintain accurate, timely documentation
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and newborn care
Advocate for patients and support families through the childbirth experience
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal outcomes
Minimum Qualifications
Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (CPR) – required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required within 6 months
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – required within 6 months
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience preferred

Employment Requirements
Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
