At Kandou, we are redefining the economics of AI infrastructure. Our current product line includes PCIe and USB Retimers. We are defining new chiplets-based AI fabric solutions built using our innovative, proven Copper MIMO links.
Kandou started their India operations in Q1 of 2026 and has plans to establish a prototyping / validation lab at Hyderabad. To facilitate the engineering team validate the existing and up-coming products, we are actively seeking a Lab Technician based in Hyderabad, India.
Responsibility:
Will be responsible to oversee maintenance of lab computers, FPGA boards, silicon validation setups and electronic testing & measurement equipment.
Need to track lab inventory, reconcile on a weekly basis and audit on a quarterly basis with senior management. Maintain detailed softcopy logbooks, manage software licenses, ensure version updates, and keep inventory of all electronic components procured in the lab
Will need to work independently with low day-to-day supervision and assist users in setting up hardware, debugging circuits, and troubleshooting any platform level issues
Ensure compliance with safety protocols for electronics handling, manage hazardous materials, and secure the lab environment. Perform other lab related duties as assigned.
Need to be available all 5 working days of the week and extended hours including weekends during silicon power-on / systems bring-up phase of the projects or as needed.
Skills:
5+ years’ experience in silicon bring-up / systems labs
Hardware Troubleshooting: Proficiency in handling oscilloscopes, logic & protocol analyzers and function generators.
Software Proficiency: Experience with Windows/Linux environments and scripting languages.
Soldering/Assembly: Perform SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and through-hole soldering to mount components onto PCBs. Replace defective, damaged, or misplaced components using rework stations and soldering irons.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across HW, FW and SW teams.
Preferred Experience:
Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawings to assemble electronics accurately. Inspect solder joints for quality, ensuring compliance with IPC-A-610 standards.
Tool Operation: Utilize hand tools including soldering irons, hot air guns, tweezers, and wire strippers apart from standard rework stations.
ESD Protocols: Adhere strictly to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) safety procedures to protect sensitive electronic components and boards
Attention to Detail: Meticulous documentation of test data assistance when needed and inventory management
Must have participated in lab bring up & validation setups enablement and in deployed use
Education
Bachelor of Tech/Engineering / ITI / Diploma equivalent in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field. Certification in IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 standards will be a plus.
