Job Description

We are seeking a highly capable Level 3 Systems Engineer to serve as the senior escalation point and technical authority across a cloud-first MSP and security-focused business.

This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft 365, advanced networking, endpoint security, and automation. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, process-driven, security aware, and capable of leading projects while mentoring junior engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities :
• Act as final escalation point for complex incidents
• Handle and complete Level 1 and Level 2 tickets as needed to support service delivery
• Lead advanced Microsoft 365 troubleshooting and security configuration
• Architect and improve cloud and hybrid environments.
• Lead PowerShell automation initiatives
• Oversee RMM optimization and automation workflows
• Design and troubleshoot advanced networking configurations
• Manage and enhance endpoint security posture
• Implement and refine MFA, SSO, Conditional Access policies
• Assist with or lead migrations and infrastructure upgrades
• Ensure ITIL-aligned service delivery standards
• Mentor L1 & L2 engineers

Required Experience/Skills:
• 7–10+ Years MSP Experience

Microsoft 365 (Advanced Security & Architecture) :
• Advanced Exchange Online troubleshooting
• Entra ID architecture & security management
• Conditional Access policy design
• Identity & access governance

Google Workspace:
• Security & compliance configuration
• Policy enforcement & tenant optimization

Endpoint & Infrastructure:
• Advanced Windows Server knowledge
• macOS & Windows architecture troubleshooting
• Virtualization exposure (advantageous)

Tooling & Automation:
• NinjaRMM / Atera advanced usage
• PowerShell automation scripting (advanced)
• Bash scripting (advantageous)
• High-level documentation governance
• Process improvement initiatives

Networking & Security:
• Advanced firewall configuration
• VPN architecture troubleshooting
• VLAN design & segmentation
• Wi-Fi optimization & diagnostics
• Strong EDR/MDR management
• Direct Huntress and/or Field Effect experience (Highly Preferred)
• SOC/SIEM exposure (advantageous)

Process & Leadership:
• Full ownership of complex technical issues
• Escalation management
• Project leadership (system upgrades, migrations)
• ITIL-aligned change management execution
• Root cause analysis & problem management

Communication & Cultural Requirements:
• Fluent English (mandatory)
• Clear, professional verbal communication (minimal accent requirement)
• Strong written documentation capability
• Ability to translate complex issues into business-friendly explanations
• Leadership presence and mentorship capability
