1.  Project Engagement & Business Development
• Identify, track, and prioritize Chinese-involved infrastructure projects across Vietnam; develop targeted account strategies for each.
• Lead early-stage engagement with Chinese contractors, designers, and consultants to secure Sika product specifications prior to tendering.
• Prepare and present Sika technical proposals, method statements, and product submissions in Mandarin Chinese, ensuring alignment with Chinese engineering standards (GB Standards).
• Monitor and report on competitor activity, with a specific focus on Chinese construction chemicals suppliers entering the Vietnamese market.
2.  Stakeholder Relationship Management
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with Chinese-speaking stakeholders – including main contractors, sub-contractors, design institutes, and project owners from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.
• Represent Sika Vietnam at project meetings, technical reviews, and site visits conducted in Mandarin.
• Act as the internal subject matter expert on Chinese project management practices, procurement processes, and documentation requirements.
3.  Technical & Compliance Support
• Review and maintain an up-to-date mapping of Sika products against Chinese National Standards (GB), identifying compliance gaps and escalating as required.
• Manage project documentation including test reports, approval letters, project photography, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Liaise with Sika’s Technical Service and Specification teams to support product qualification and approval processes for Chinese-standard projects.
4.  Cross-Functional Coordination
• Collaborate with Area Sales Managers, Target Market Managers, and the Technical Service team to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with Sika’s regional and global KPM network to leverage expertise, references, and support for complex projects.
• Provide regular project status updates, pipeline reports, and market intelligence to management.
 
Education
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Materials, or a related technical discipline.
Professional Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MRT, metro, rail, or major transportation infrastructure projects; or in a technical/commercial role within a construction chemicals or building materials company.
• Demonstrated experience engaging with Chinese contractors or working on Chinese-funded/managed projects is strongly preferred.
Language Skills
• Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) – required.
• Professional working proficiency in English – required.
• Vietnamese language skills are an advantage.

• Strong technical acumen: able to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and compliance documentation.
• Proven project management capability with experience managing multiple accounts and timelines simultaneously.
• Commercially driven with a results-oriented mindset and strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; effective communicator at all levels from site engineers to senior leadership.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a field-based environment.
