About the Role
The ideal candidates will have experience and knowledge to record, edit, and mix localized and original contents effectively and efficiently in accordance with the clients’ requirements. As a part of a team, they must be motivated and have a sense of responsibility, and they must be able to address issues in an active manner.
This role provides Korean-language translation and creative localization consulting to support title delivery as directed by one of our clients. The consultant helps plan, coordinate, and quality-check localization work across user interface (UI) text, metadata, subtitles, and dubbing, while ensuring teams and vendors stay aligned on guidelines, specifications, and timelines.
You will collaborate closely with our client's Localization team, Media Operations team, and external vendor partners, serving as a day-to-day point of coordination and escalation for Korean localization deliverables.
Work Arrangement
• Location: South Korea (in-country support for Korean localization).
• Term: 12-month fixed-term engagement (extension subject to business needs).
• Direction: Priorities, title assignments, and deliverable expectations are set in coordination with Pixelogic's customer stakeholders.
• Confidentiality: Role will handle confidential pre-release content and materials; strict confidentiality is required.
Requirements:
• Manage and deliver Korean localization work for assigned titles as directed by Pixelogic's customer.
• Assign, supervise, and coordinate UI, metadata, subtitles, and dubbing work performed by internal teams and third-party vendors.
• Track delivery timelines; communicate status, risks, and anticipated delays; and help drive on-time completion.
• Liaise between Pixelogic customer’s Localization team, Media Operations team, and vendor partners to keep priorities, processes, and deliverables aligned.
• Communicate specification and process changes to relevant stakeholders and vendors.
• Supervise the creation, adaptation, and ongoing maintenance of translation and dubbing guidelines (Korean and other languages as assigned).
• Provide creative localization guidance and adaptation recommendations for Korean local audiences, aligned to the client’s creative direction.
• Assist with quality control (QC) and evaluation of translations, including identifying issues and recommending corrections.
Qualifications
• Native-level Korean proficiency and professional-level English communication skills.
• Experience in translation, localization, or language QA for entertainment/media (anime experience a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple titles/workstreams with competing deadlines.
• Working knowledge of localization workflows across UI strings, metadata, subtitles, and dubbing.
• Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills (briefing, feedback, escalation, and follow-through).
• Ability to interpret and maintain language/style guidelines and apply them consistently.
• Detail-oriented approach to quality control with clear documentation of findings and fixes.

• On-time delivery of Korean localization assets (UI, metadata, subtitles, dubbing) for assigned titles.
• Clear, proactive communication of timelines, risks, and changes in specs/process to internal teams and vendors.
• Well-maintained and consistently applied translation and dubbing guidelines.
• High localization quality as evidenced by reduced rework, strong QC outcomes, and stakeholder satisfaction.
