Kitchen Porter

Are you an experienced Kitchen Porter looking for one day only during school term? Our Friday-only, 7.30-3.30 shift may be just the job for you!

You will join an established team at Ashville College, Harrogate, to help receive deliveries, carry, wash-up and clean our back of house areas. We serve lunch for around 900 per day, the job is fast and can be physically demanding. If you thrive on providing the best possible service in a demanding environment, please apply now!

Your annual salary (including holiday pay) is spread evenly across 12 monthly payments, so you’ll receive a consistent, reliable income all year round.

• Accepting & putting away deliveries
• Washing up, including dishes, pots and cooking equipment (using a commercial plate washer and some manual pot washing)
• Cleaning/ sanitising all back of house areas, including walls, sinks, fryers & ovens
• Sweeping & mopping kitchen floors
• Emptying bins
• Adhering to Food & Health & Safety regulations and completing all relevant training
• Working within a team of professional porters

• You must be a current resident in the UK and live within easy reach of your place of work. You must have the right to work in the UK. You must be able to successfully achieve an Enhanced DBS (we will apply for you)
• You must be over 18 years of age
• You must be experienced in a professional catering environment
• Have a good working knowledge of back of house operations.
• Excellent communication skills 
• Friendly & helpful, enjoys being part of a team
