We’re seeking a Kitchen Manager to join us at Three Bears! A craft brewery in a National Park, in a restaurant, in a forest. Complete with a stargazing retractable roof, beer garden & 25-foot pine tree, our restaurant will make you feel like you're dining's outdoors all year round. Our menu features tasty chef-inspired food meant to be enjoyed with beer made here. Kitchen Manager

The Kitchen Manager contributes to the success of the company by participating in the management of the daily operations of the venue, including the management of team members in conjunction with the General Manager. They oversee and manage all areas of the kitchen operations and use their discretion to make decisions quickly. In addition, they manage inventory and supplies, optimize profits, and ensure that guests have an experience that lives up to the company values.

What You’ll Do:

• While you’re very focused on producing quality food experiences for our guests and leading the kitchen team – you’re also versatile in relation to kitchen and people management
• Ensure consistent food preparation and the highest caliber of food presentation is being met, and looking for ways to continuously improve and communicate with your team
• Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food and labour costs
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/provincial/local laws, and ordinances
• You will work closely with the Corporate Chef team, and prepare and attend weekly and monthly planning meetings
• You lead by example and recognize the importance of employee experience and building a strong team culture
• As a leader within BHC, you’ll also be an ambassador of our employer brand, always being on the lookout for top talent and assisting with hiring amazing people to join the team, specifically on the kitchen team

What You Have:

• 2-4 years of experience in a supervisory/management kitchen role, with experience in a high volume kitchen environment
• You don't shy away from working with various types of technology and systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and while you may be feeling stressed on the inside you remain calm and collected for the team
• You're not only an amazing team player but also have a knack for bringing others together to work towards a common goal
• Connecting with people and building trusting relationships comes easy to you
• You have excellent communication skills and understand the importance of effective communication and workplace culture
• Ability to take a step back to look at things from other perspectives and be open to a different way
• Ability to work with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
• Flexible schedule required
