Job Description

Are you a looking to start your career in a busy hotel kitchen? Can you think on your feet, work efficiently as a team and contribute towards our success with a can-do attitude? Then this Kitchen Assistant role at Sudima Christchurch Airport is for you!

This is a casual role paying $25 per hour.

Responsibilities include:

• Washing and cleaning utensils and dishes
• Washing, peeling, chopping and preparing food items
• Sorting and disposing of rubbish and recycling
• Cleaning food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas.
• Following and enforcing strict health and hygiene standards

We are seeking a new team member with a great attitude. In addition to that, the following skills will see you succeed in this role:

• Enjoy practical work with minimal supervision
• Able to work in 7 day rotating roster
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Able to lift heavy pots etc
• Team player
• Able to work under pressure
