Kids Care Attendant-Jacksonville

Seasonal/Long-term, Day and Night, Various hours

We have openings for childcare sitters to supervise children (birth - 5th grade) during church services, biblical classes and other special events. We are in need of individuals who are able to commit and be consistent to provide childcare services within a semi-structured schedule.

This position is a hybrid of seasonal and yearly commitment.  Each season we offer varying classes and events throughout the workweek in the mornings and evenings that need childcare coverage. Year round we have Thursday evening and Sunday morning services that require ongoing childcare coverage. 

As a Kids Care Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children whose parents are volunteering and/or attending any of the opportunities hosted on campus. 

Responsibilities:

- Supervise and engage with children in a caring and attentive manner

- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care

- Lead and assist with age-appropriate activities, games, and crafts

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kids care area

- Communicate effectively with parents and church staff

- Attend training sessions and meetings as required

- Adhere to all church policies and procedures

Requirements:

- Be a member or active participate in the church (preferred)

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Prior experience working with children preferred

- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Reliable and punctual

- Must be able to pass a background check
